Walgreens and CVS Scnarios 3/20/2011-3/26/2011

Here are the scenarios for this week’s Walgreens Ad. Not a lot to get excited about but I do love FREEBIES and I have some register rewards that need to be used this week so that equals a trip to Walgreens for me! This post includes specific items you can purchase and coupons that you can use to maximize your dollar AND your Register Rewards at Walgreens. Please know that you do not have to follow these transactions if you do not want to. The goal of this post is to help you get an idea on how to roll your RRs from one week to the next. Please also know that these transactions do not take into account tax. Every state taxes differently so you may need to budget a little extra to cover tax.

Transaction #1

Buy one Always LeakGuard Plus Pads, $2.99 (you will receive $2 RR)Minus one $0.50/1 Always Pads or Cloths 2/27/2011 PG Insert (exp 3/31/2011)

**There is a mail in rebate form in the 2/13/11 SS Insert for Theraflu caplets (24 ct). You can submit that form for up to $6.99 retail so you will be reimbursed $4.99 for your purchase in Transaction #3, making it FREE plus a moneymaker. (Thanks Vergin for the reminder!)
Total Out of Pocket before Theraflu Rebate: $6.61 + applicable tax (without RRs from last week) Total out of pocket AFTER rebate: $1.62
Product Worth: $16.02 + tax and you will still have $1 RR from Transaction #3 to use next time!
**Don’t forget that Register Rewards expire very quickly and if you let them expire, you are basically throwing away money. If you are concerned you will let them expire, I would put your RRs towards paper products like toilet paper and paper towels which are hard to get dirt cheap!
